Sikhote-Alin Documentary
Just after the fall
of the Sikhote-Alin meteorite in 1947, the Russian government
sent in experts to assess the event and retrieve data and/or
specimens. Part of this expedition was to document their work
through a film. This 18 minute film was recorded between 1947 to 1950 and
completed editing/released in 1956. Thanks to Sergey Vasiliev (SV-Meteorites),
it has now been translated with English subtitles. On request,
the English has now been re-edited and is available for download
below. The grammar may not be perfect in all cases (due to
Russian to English translating) as both Sergey and myself wanted
it to remain as true as possible to the original wording of the
film. Click on the icon below or alternatively right-click and
select "Save Target As".
