DAG 1037 (SNC) - 9.6g Slice with Melt Vein and Melt Vesicles
DAG 1037 (Dar al
Gani 1037) is a beautiful Martian meteorite that was found in
Libya during 1999. This is a very large thin museum quality
slice and is very representative of what a Martian Shergottite
looks like. This particular specimen has a very large dark
shock-melt vein running through it which also has a number of
vesicles enclosed within it. At widest points this slice
measures 63mm x 45mm. Meteorites Australia Collection
(MA.CS.06.0011).
