NWA 2140 with Large Irregular Shaped CAI
This
is a specimen from one of the 2003 NWA CV3 finds.
The most notable feature in the below partslice is the large
white irregular shaped CAI. CAI's are: Ca-Al-Rich Inclusions or Calcium-Aluminium Rich
Inclusions. They represent some of the oldest material ever
found and date back to the beginning or initial formation of our
Solar System. This specimen is part of the Meteorites Australia
Collection.
