Richfield
The
Richfield meteorite has a classification of LL3.7
Genomict*
Breccia and was found by a farmer in 1983 about 6 kilometres
South-East of Richfield in Morton County, Kansas, USA. The
farmer unearthed the 40.8kg stone as he was terracing one of his
fields. It stayed with him until 1995 when a piece was sent to
UCLA for analysis. It is a gorgeous meteorite that is part of the Meteorites Australia Collection.
