NWA 800

The meteorite, NWA 800 (North West Africa 800) was found in 2001 somewhere in the deserts of North West Africa. This meteorite is classified as a very rare Rumurutiite; specifically R4 and has a tiny Total Known Weight of only 198g. Compared to other chondrites; Rumurutiites have more olivine and very little Nickel or Iron. These specimens are part of the Meteorites Australia Collection.
